June is Pride Month, a time dedicated to celebrating authenticity, respect, and love. As we honor this month, I want to take a moment to reflect on what it truly means to "be who you came to be."
At the heart of my message is the belief that self-acceptance and love are powerful forces. Embracing who we are, with all our unique qualities, is the first step toward living a fulfilling and impactful life. However, equally important is how we honor and respect the authenticity of others. We didn't come to be like each other, and that's a beautiful thing.
In our journey to "be who we came to be," love is our guide. It's through kindness and understanding that we build bridges and create spaces where everyone feels valued and respected. This isn't about politics or making grand statements; it's about recognizing and celebrating our shared humanity.
Here are some key talking points from my "Be Who You Came to Be" keynote that I hope will inspire you:
Create It: Focus on what is fulfilling in your life. Fulfilling things aren't easy, but they create epic moments of happiness and success. Honoring our authenticity and living true to who we are is one of the most fulfilling things we can do in life—it will create epic moments of genuine happiness.
Own It: Own your authenticity, knowing you're not going to be for everyone. For some, you will be too much; for others, not enough. Find your people who love you for YOU.
Live It: Start putting your big "butterfly" goals into action. Our dreams only come alive when we believe in ourselves beyond reason and take sustainable action to make them come true.
As you reflect on these points, I hope you'll feel inspired to embrace your own authenticity and extend that respect and love to others. This message is not just for Pride Month, but for every day. It's about creating a world where everyone has the freedom to be who they came to be.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Let's continue to honor ourselves and each other, guided by love.
Keep Shining YOUR authentic light – xoxo
