As the pandemic erupted in the spring of 2020, roughly 3.5 million mothers with school-age children either lost jobs, took leaves of absence or left the labor market altogether. *

A new report, “Women in the Workplace,” by the consulting firm McKinsey & Co. illustrates how the pandemic imposed an especially heavy toll on working women. It found that one in three women over the past year had thought about leaving their jobs or “downshifting” their careers.

Finding balance between career, family and community continues to be a struggle for women in the workforce, especially for working mothers. The COVID-19 crisis has illuminated the struggles to prioritize family and career. Challenges in balancing career and family often result in feelings of exhaustion, inadequacy, guilt, and unhappiness.

Living our purpose, balancing career and home and living happy are three priorities among the workforce.

In response to these situations, female professionals ask themselves many questions:

“How do I make an impact and grow within my organization?”

“How do I find my purpose at work and at home?”
“How can I be successful at work and in the home?”

“How do I become the best version of myself?"

“How do I create sustainable happiness?”
